The Ink House opened in 1976 and was originally called Ventura Tattoo. In 1990 we changed the name and moved locations to Main Street in the old west end of town where it is now located. My first introduction to tattoos was in the mid 1950's when my Father and Mother would take me to the Pike in Long Beach California. The Pike was an old school version of Disneyland on the midway with several tattoo parlors. The Navy shipyard and base were nearby, not to mention an assortment of tough looking characters. It seemed like someone was always in a chair getting some odd looking art on their body. I would watch for hours with my Dad.

That's when I first heard that buzzing sound that would become part of my life. It didn't take me long to figure out I was a better businessman than tattoo artist as I decided to leave the tattooing to others. The Ink House puts out only quality work and has for over thirty years. We hope you will stop by and check us out.

Thanks... George Christie
